A Brief Description
A Schwab is an artistic blend of 80% cacao intellectual and a liberal portion of humor suffused throughout to make it edible. Schwabs enjoy not being like other people. We take pride in operating on a deeper or more sophisticated level than the normal, and are either successful or insufferably arrogant; it's not for me to say. To the outsider, we all may appear to be the same person. However, to the "Schwabbed" (like "clobbered", but on an intellectual rather than a physical level), it becomes clear that we do have individual personalities. See below for details on those.
Social Habits
Anywhere one travels, particularly in the Western Hemisphere, and more particularly in circles of Evangelicals, there are links to the Schwab clan. It is not uncommon to go to a gathering in a random city park and run into a churched person who has had some interaction with a Schwab. The Schwabs tend to be globally connected, as well. Perhaps the most astounding example of this is illustrated by when the elder Schwabs were introduced to an individual from China who was visiting their church. When the patriarchs inquired if this individual happened to know another Chinese national with whom they were acquainted, it hardly surprised them to learn that out of over one billion possibilities, this man was the brother-in-law to the other. Things like this happen around the Schwabs. As one of Mom-mom's favorite Disney songs intones, “It's a small world after all; it's a small world after all; it's a small world after all; it's a small, small world.”
